Kolkata, the capital of
West Bengal. In 1971, Calcutta Motor Sports Club and four other motor clubs namely
Madras Motor Sports Club, Karnataka Motor Sports Club, Coimbatore Auto Sports Club and Indian Automotive Racing Club Ltd formed a consortium called
The Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI).
The Calcutta Motor Sports Club hosts many national and international automotive championships.
