Caju Feni is the liquor made from pressed cashew apples in
Goa. This is a second type of Feni that is inherited from Portuguese who introduced cashew to Goa from Brazil. This is usually drunk after the first distillation, but one can also find it double-distilled, flavored with ginger, cumin or sarasaparilla to produce a smooth liquor. It is prepared around late March, during the cashew harvest season.
