Established in 1975 and nestled in the Kaimason Hillocks of
Jhansi, the Bundelkhand University gives impetus to professional training and research. Sprawling over 186 acres on either side of the Jhansi-
Kanpur Highway, the University has 44 affiliated colleges and 34 departments, called Institutes of Studies. These Institutes offer more than 180 academic and vocational courses in addition to Doctoral and Post-doctoral Programs in various disciplines.
Since 1999, under the Vice Chancellorship of Professor Ramesh Chandra, the Bundelkhand University has undergone dramatically fast growth. The University regularly hosts academic conferences, seminars, youth festivals, sports meets and social/environmental awareness programs to foster all-round development of the faculty and students.
