Buddha Garden is a ten-acre land located near the Siddhartha Farm house at
Auroville in
Pondicherry. It is an independent community farm started in 2000. The farm has a vegetable garden, four nurseries, cashew plantation, area for field crops and chicken house with attached rotation yards. The garden mainly cultivates vegetables, red rice, varaigu, kumbu and field crops.
Training programs about organic farming, Auroville, living lightly on the land are offered for students and volunteers from abroad and locals. Accommodation facilities are provided in Buddha garden rooms and the Siddhartha farm rooms.
The nearest railway station is Pondicherry Railway Station.
