Brahmagiri




Brahmagiri is a tourist destination situated in Wayanad District, Kerala. It is about 11 km from Thirunelli.

The main attraction is the Thirunelli Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, in the valley of Brahmagiri. Pakshipathalam is another point of interest. The top of Brahmagiri Hill (1608 m) is the abode of various birds and wild beasts. Brahmagiri is a challenging tourist spot for any adventure seeking tourist as this area is best for mountaineering.

Brahmagiri can be reached by a trek from Mananthavady (29 km east). Buses operates regularly from Mananthavady Bus Station to this destination. The nearest airport and railhead are Calicut Airport and Kozhikode Railway Station.
