Boxnagar is a small settlement, about 8 km from
Sonamura, in
West Tripura District of
Tripura.
The prime attraction is a brick building in dilapidated condition, which is believed to have been the temple of Manasaa – the Goddess of snake. The Archeological Survey of India revealed an idol of Buddha from the site, hence believed to be a Buddha temple.
C A Agartala Airport, 98 km away, is the nearest airport. Kumarghat Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
