Borjan is located in Mon District of Nagaland. Perched at an altitude of 1,023 ft above sea level, it is 29 km west of Mon.

Borjan is rich with coal deposits. In 1907, the East India Company established a coalfield in this place.

Borjan is served by Dimapur Airport and Simaluguri Junction Railway Station.
