Boori-Boot Festival is one of the most important festivals of the Hillmiri community of
Arunachal Pradesh. It is celebrated in the last week of the month of February for 3 days or more. During the festival, the priests lead a procession of men, women and children dressed in their traditional apparels. Women folk receive the party throwing rice powder at them. They dance around shouting 'hoi hoi.' Mithuns, goats, pigs, and fowls are sacrificed.
