Bolup is an indigenous hat of the Adi Gallong tribe of
Arunachal Pradesh. It is shaped like a semi-elliptical bowl containing a boat-shaped rim. It is woven in a coiled manner using cane. It is an extremely sturdy hat, sometimes containing extra thick strips of cane for the protection of the head. Some people decorate this hat with dyed wool or feathers.
