Boli is a form of popular folk music prevailing in the eastern parts of
Punjab. This song is very effective and deep in its expression. Boli song usually contains one line. Although the song is miniature in character, it provides an impression like a proverb. Sometimes the song may extend to five or more lines. The Bhangra and Giddha, two popular folk dances of Punjab, are danced to the accompaniment of Boli song.
