Blue Pine is widely found in the
Chakrata,
Tons Valley,
Uttarkashi, and
Joshimath areas. These trees occur at an altitude of 5000 to 7000 ft and are found mostly mixed with the Deodar Forests. Also known as Kail, its wood is used in making sturdy cupboards and pelmets in houses.
