Birla Planetarium lies on the hillock of
Naubat Pahad near
Hussain Sagar Lake in
Hyderabad. An exquisite dome-shaped monument, Birla Planetarium is India's most modern planetarium and first of its kind in the country. Equipped with advanced technology from Japan, it is a compliment to the developments made in science and technology from the beginning of civilization.
Sky shows are organized here at different times. The planetarium has various sections such as Science Museum, Dinosaurium, the Center for Applicable Mathematics and a Science projects division.
