Bindu Sarovar, situated at
Siddhpur, in
Patan District of
Gujarat. It is one of the five most holy and ancient lakes in India. It has its special sanctity and glory as it is the Tapobhumi of Shri Kapil Dev – considered as an incarnation of God and founder of Samkhya philosophy. It is said that Kapil Dev preached the essence of attaining
Moksha to his mother, on the banks of this lake.
The temples of Devahuti and Kapila are situated on the banks of Bindu Sarovar. Thousands of pilgrims arrive here to perform Pitru Srardha (death anniversary rituals).
