Binaga is a small village located in
Uttara Kannada District of
Karnataka. This sandy strip of land is laced with lush green vegetation and numerous palms. Binaga is about 5 km from
Karwar, on the shores of the
Arabian Sea.
Our Lady of St Anne’s Church, the first Latin Catholic Church constructed by the Portuguese in India, is the major landmark of this place. Binaga Beach, covered by green hilltops on three sides, is an attractive beach in Binaga.
Anjidiv Island, a small island located at the Goa-Karnataka border, is about a mile away from this lovely village. Devbagh and Arga beaches are some tourist places around.
Goa Airport is the nearest airport. Karwar Railway Station, managed by the Konkan Railways, serves Binaga.
