Bilgi is a town situated at a distance of 30 km from
Bagalkot. There is a famous stone pond called Arettina Bavi (six-bullock well) to the north of the town, wherein there is a broken
shivlinga which is not worshipped today. According to the stone inscriptions found on the walls of the well, it was constructed by Visajipanta in the year 1708. There is a
dargah of Hasan Dongri, which is worth visiting. Another attraction in the town is a temple of the 16th century, which lies one km to the south of the town.
Bagalkot is well connected by rail and road to almost all the important places in South India. It has a railway station. The nearest airport is at Belgaum.
