Bhotiya Dance




Bhotiya Dance is a folk dance performed by Bhotias, an Uttaranchal tribal group, with Tibetan origins. This dance form is associated with death ceremonies. It is believed that, the soul of the dead person resides in the body of a goat or sheep, and by dancing the soul can be liberated.
