Bhim Garh Fort is a historical monument located on a hillock near Reasi in
Udhampur District of
Jammu and Kashmir. The fort, which stands overlooking the Anji River, has a commanding view around all the side of it.
This impressive building was built by Zorawar Singh, the famous Dogra General who repelled the Chinese from Ladakh.
Ahead of 1988, Bhim Garh Fort was in a dilapidated state. In 1988, the then governor decided to take up its beautification, after which the fort got a new look.
Reasi is located 28 km from Katra, the base camp for the pilgrimage to the holy shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi.
