Bhawanigarh is a prominent town in Sangrur District and is situated 18 km east of Sangrur. It lies on the National Highway 64 and is 34 km west of Patiala and about 54 km north-east of Mansa.

Nearest airport is at Ludhiana. Sangrur Railway Station and Nabha Railway Station serves Bhawanigarh.
