Bhavani Peth

Bhavani Peth is the pulse of Pune city’s trading community. It is named after the Goddess Bhavani, whose temple was set up here in 1763. Earlier the place had many 'bore' trees, thus it was also known as Borevan.

Palkhi Vithoba Mandir and Shri Bhavani Mata Temple situated here attract large number of devotees from great distances. There are large timber, hardware and steel markets found.

This residential area is about 4 km south of Pune Junction Railway Station.
