Managed by Lakshmi Ammal Education Trust, Bharath Institute of Science and Technology offers under graduate courses and post graduate courses in Engineering and Management. BIST was started year 1984, and has since been approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE.) The campus is well developed with all the infrastructural facilities including office and classrooms, staff-rooms, drawing halls, laboratories, workshops, libraries, computer centers, auditoriums, conference halls and examination halls, recreation centers for staff and students, sports rooms, dispensaries, canteen, hostels, placement cells, rooms for N.C.C, N.S.S, and fine-art clubs.
