Bharat Bhavan is situated at the State language Institute Complex Nalanda in
Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of
Kerala. Managed by the Department of Culture (Government of Kerala), it is a center for performing visual arts. The center aims at promoting and coordinating the art, cultural and welfare activities of the people.
Bharat Bhavan introduces the people to the art forms and music of different states. It usually organizes interfaces with writers, poets and intellectuals as well as artistes from different linguistic groups. Food festivals, film festivals, photo exhibitions and drama festivals are conducted regularly.
Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
