Bharat Bhavan is a center for performing and visual arts, situated at
Bhopal, in
Madhya Pradesh. It is one of the unique national institutes in India. Bharat Bhavan is an independent trust created by the Legislature of the State of Madhya Pradesh.
Bharat Bhavan is designed by the world-renowned architect Charles Correa. The centre consists of a unique multi-celled hall of arts. The centre houses Roopankar - a museum of fine arts; Rangmandal - a repertory theatre, an indoor and outdoor auditorium called Bahirang; Vagarth - a centre of Indian poetry; Anhad - a library of classical and folk music and a Ashram. The center is now regarded as the most important centers in the country for the preservation of traditional folk art.
