Bhakti Kutir is a small beach-side resort located at
Palolem in
South Goa District. Palolem is about 3 km west of
Chaudi, the headquarters of
Canacona.
Spread over an area of 20 acres, the resort has 22 small tents built with local materials. All units come with mosquito nets, common shower and organic toilets. Rooms are decorated with hand-made curtains and cushions.
The resort offer cleansing mud baths, steam and cooling baths at its healing centre. Kutir occasionally conducts yoga classes. The restaurant serves a variety of vegetarian dishes along with, fresh seafood, wine and tribal liquors.
The resort usually arranges custom-made trips, by jeep or by boat or hiking, to the nearby interesting places including historic churches, temples, forts and monuments.
Bhakti Kutir is at a five minutes walk from the south end of Palolem Beach. Canacona Railway Station is the nearest railhead, where the slower trains stop. The distance from Goa Airport is 60 km and from Madgaon Railway Station is 32 km.
