Once an important seat of
Jainism, Bhairabasingpur is a village situated at the foot of the eastern side of a 2,000 ft high plateau. A large number of images of Jaina
tirthankars of different sizes have been unearthed from this place. Of these images, the image of Rishabhanath is now worshipped in a thatched shrine.
The Shiva temple at the foot of the hills contains many images of the Jain cult.
Bhairabasingpur is accessible by the road leading to Borigumma and
Koraput.
