Bhagwati Asthan




Bhagwati Asthan is a major pilgrim spot at Abhaipur, in Lakhisarai District of Bihar. This temple, dedicated to Goddess Maa Bhagwati, is located at the foot of Abhaipur Mountain. Maa Bhagwati is also known as Bishari Devi, which means goddess of snakes. Every year on Nag Panchami people from the district and neighboring districts visit this temple to offer prayers. Main offering to the goddess is milk.

Abhainath Asthan is another major pilgrim spot located near Bhagwati Asthan. Excursion to Amrasani, a year-round tourist destination in the state, will be an enchanting experience.

Nearest airport is Patna Airport. Abhaipur Railway Station, on Lakhisarai- Munger, is the nearest access point. Lakhisarai, the district headquarters, is about 20 km west.
