Bhagore is a small village in
Jhabua District of
Madhya Pradesh. The main attraction of this place is an old tank. The inscription dated AD 1279 on the pillar next to it, ascribes its construction to Bagga, a Bhairava, who dug it with the assistance of a nymph on the occasion of a famine. The head of a broken image found close to the foot of the pillar is thought to be that of Bagga.
The shrines of
Lord Shiva,
Lord Ram and
Lord Hanuman are situated near the tank.
Devi Ahilya Bai Holeker Airport and Bamnia Railway Station are the closest airport and railway station.
