Bhagaiya is located in Sahibganj District of Jharkhand. It is about 18 km south-west of Sahibganj, the district headquarters.

Places of tourist interest in the vicinity include Bhagwa Kuan (a well constructed in the memory of Edward VII, in 1815) and a hill at the eastern end of Sahibganj.
