Bhaatkuli




Located on the banks of the Poorna River, Bhaatkuli is a major Jain sector in Maharashtra. This village is on the Mumbai-Nagpur rail route and is about 16 km from Amaravati. Popularly known as Adinath Digamber Jain Atishaya region, Bhaatkuli is noted for temples and an open mandapam. Major points of attraction are three temples and two Chaityalayas. The idol of Lord Adinath here, is believed to have emerged from the earth. Thousands of pilgrims arrive here to fulfill their wishes. The open mandapa in the village has 30 wooden pillars and is located in front of one of the temples. Amaravati Railway Station is the major railway station nearby.
