Begur Wildlife Sanctuary is situated on an elevated picturesque mountainous plateau in the
Western Ghats, about 20 km east of
Mananthavady in
Wayanad. The region has a rich variety of animals and birds. Thalassery in
Kannur District is the nearest railway station.
