Beesu Naayi is a dance popular among the tribal community of
Arunachal Pradesh. It depicts the tale of a mythological monkey named Beesung. This monkey and his three brothers - Niinur Bote (a blacksmith), Robo (an evil spirit) and Tani (man) - are the principal characters.
The main theme is the enmity among these brothers and the subsequent killing of Niinur Bote by an arrow shot by Beesung. According to the story it was Robo who compelled the monkey to kill his brother.
