Beas Kund, the source of the
Beas River, is at the
Rohtang Pass. The place has earned its name from
Veda Vyasa, who used to meditate at this place.
Beas Kund, located at an altitude of 3540 mts, is a rocky terrain with a small amount of vegetation. It is held that the place continues to be bathed by heavenly light and so bathing in the kund is supposed to be ideal.
