Basu Bhattacharya, popularly known as Basuda, was an eminent Hindi film-maker. He belonged to a Brahmin family of Murshidabad, West Bengal. Basu directed a substantial number of enthralling films such as Teesri Kasam, Anubhav, Aastha, and Madhu Malti. Through his films, he fantastically portrayed the man-woman relationship. Basuda passed away on June 20, 1997.
