Bassian is located in
Ludhiana District of
Punjab and lies on the Raikot-Jagraon road. It is about 5 km from
Raikot.
The village was blessed by the visit of Guru Gobind Singh. A gurdwara, named Gurdwara Satranj Sahib has been built here in the memory of the visit of Guru Sahib.
The nearest railway station is at Jagraon (20 km). Ludhiana Airport is the nearest airport.
