Basanti Devi Temple is a hundred-year-old shrine located in Kailar village at Sector 24 in
Chandigarh. Since the temple was consecrated on
Vasant Panchami Festival, it came to be known as Basanti Devi Temple. Goddess Sheetla, an incarnation of Goddess
Durga, is the main deity of this temple. The temple has some beautiful murals. The first Tuesday after
Holi is an important day for offering prayers to the deity.
The nearest airport and railway station are both in Chandigarh.
