Barli Vocational Institute for Rural Women is situated in Indore. The institute was established in 1985. It spreads over an area of six acre. Barli is a very common name among the tribal women of Jhabua and neighboring districts. The institute provides a six-month residential program for tribal women. It develops practical skills and spiritual qualities. The main aim of the institute is to train rural and tribal women from villages around Indore and empower them with skills and knowledge needed to improve the quality of life for themselves, their families and their communities. The campus includes facilities such as a well-equipped workshop-cum-classroom, a dormitory with a kitchen and dining area, an office and staff quarters.
