Located on the banks of Rapti River, Barhi is a small town in
Gorakhpur District of
Uttar Pradesh. It is about 28 km south-east of
Gorakhpur.
The main attraction of the place is the weekly market held on Thursdays. The villages of Rajdhani Tongri and Upadhaulia, famous for the ruins of the Mauryan Empire, lies to the east of Barhi.
Nearest major railhead is at Gorakhpur. Kusmhi Railway Station is another railhead nearby.
