Situated on the banks of the Macharewa River, at an altitude of 1282 ft, Barehta is a charming village in Narsinghpur District of Madhya Pradesh. It is situated 7 km south of Bilkheri and 20 km north-west of Narsinghpur, the administrative headquarters of the district.
Jabalpur Airport and Narsinghpur Railway Station are the nearest airport and railway station respectively. Barehta is approached easily by road as the National Highway 26 passes close to this village.
