Perched at an altitude of about 5104 ft above sea level, Bar Udar is a scenic village in Srinagar District. Bakshipura lies just two kilometers from here. To the west of Bar Udar lies Krishabal and Badi Rudar is to the east. Chhandna Deh Nauabad and Takia are on the northern and southern parts respectively.
Bar Udar is easily accessible from Hatbur. The nearest railway station is at Udhampur.
