Founded in 1920, Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) nestles in the middle of 85 acres of greenery in the heart of
Bangalore. It has facilities such as stabling for over 1000 horses, three training tracks, an equine swimming pool, training schools, walking rings, a veterinary hospital and even an amateur riding school.
Bangalore Race Track is an oval shaped, right-handed course measuring approximately 1950 m with 4 sharp curves and pronounced gradients.
The club has a riding school, Bangalore Amateur Riding Institute, concentrating on training for races and show horses. Classes are held all year round except in August and September.
