Bandhu, popularly referred to as ghost dance, is performed by men. It is generally performed in the month of January.
Firstly, they dance, with torches in their hands, in the temple premises. Then they move to a particular place and perform there for sometime, and return to the temple. A camp fire known as Jagra is lit before the temple.
It is believed that after the performance, the village is free from evil spirits, and thereby people could live in peace and harmony.
The women are not permitted to see this dance due to its strange features such as indecent songs and behavior, which in turn are the vital elements of the dance.
