Banded Tree Brown (Lethe confusa) is generally seen in bamboo forests of
Meghalaya. The wingspan is about 5-5.5 cm and brownish black in colour. A white band is seen on the fore wing. Upper margin on the under surface of the hind wing is drawn with a large circular mark, while on the outer edge has small circular marks. The butterfly can be seen in
Nongpoh and Barapani villages in Meghalaya.
