Balichak

Balichak is a small town in Midnapore District. The town is well known for its rice mills. Clubs are the main entertainment places and Basanti Mela, sports festivals and cultural festivals are celebrated regularly.

Balichak is well connected with other parts of the district by bus and rail facilities. The Kolkata-Mumbai road passes through Balichak. Balichak Station is the terminus for the South Eastern railways. The Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport is the nearest airport.
