Baldeoji Temple




Baldeoji Temple is a delightful shrine situated at Panna, in Madhya Pradesh. The temple, built in Palladian style, is a replica of St Paul\'s Cathedral in London under the supervision of Mr. Manly, an Italian expert. The temple enshrines a beautiful image of Shri Baldeoji built in black Shaligram stone.

Baldeoji Temple structure improves upon the Romanesque and Gothic styles prevalent in Britain in eighteenth century. It is also a unique example which represents the zenith of Panna architecture. The temple features a large hall called Maha Mandapa with massive pillars. Built on a raised platform the temple can be viewed even from out side the main gate.
