Balayogi Varadhi is a bridge connecting Yanam with Yedurlanka in
Pondicherry, situated about 80 km from
Rajahmundry. It is built across the river
Godavari, with a total length of 1,800 m. This bridge would reduce a distance of 40 km by ferry between Yanam and Yedurlanka. In addition to road accessibility, the bridge is useful for the transportation of agriculture and aqua produce to
Kakinada port and
Visakhapatnam areas. It also provides road connectivity between the
East Godavari district headquarters
Kakinada and the Konaseema region which is surrounded by river Godavari on three sides, and with the sea on the fourth.
