Balachur

Balachur is a prominent town of Nawan Shehar District in Punjab. It is located 77 km south-east of Hoshiarpur and is about 26 km north-west of Rupnagar. Nawanshahr is 18 km north-west.

Neelon, Takhni - Rehmapur Wildlife Sanctuary, Phillaur Fort, Manakpur Sharif and the historic town of Nurmahal are some places worth visiting in the neighborhood.

Nearest international airport is at Amritsar. Rupnagar Railway Station serves Balachur.
