Akbar who ruled India between 1556 and 1605. Originally Baijnath Mishra from
Pavagarh Teerth near
Vadodara in
Gujarat, he mastered music under the guidance of Guru Swami Haridas at
Vrindavan. Baiju is regarded as a contemporary of legendary musician
Tansen.
