Baigas are very primitive tribes inhabiting Central India. They are very often described as a group least affected by the advance in modern civilization. Studies on their behaviour and habitat have proved that this group utilise natural resources without disturbing the ecological balance. The Baigas are adept at basket making and they make at least 50 different types of baskets. Dashera is a dance played by the Baiga tribe in the festive season of Dussehra and Deepawali.
