Bahu Begum, the wife of Nawab Shuja-ud-daula, was a noble woman of great distinction and rank. Most of the Muslim buildings of
Faizabad are attributed to her. Her tomb Maqbara is situated at Jawaharbagh. It is considered to be one of the finest buildings of its kind in Avadh. It was built at the cost of 0.3 million rupees by her chief advisor Darab Ali Khan. A fine view of the city can be had from the top of the tomb.
