Bahir Jakkh is a village located near
Samana in
Patiala District, on the left bank of the Holy Saraswati River. This village is held a sacred place because
Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Sikh guru, had stayed here briefly. The
guru had lived here for some days with Malla, a Sikh devotee who was a carpenter.
Bahir Jakkh houses an ancient gurdwara believed to have been constructed by the Maharaja of Patiala. Dedicated to Guru Tegh Bahadur, this gurdwara attracts a large number of devotees.
