Bagdara Wildlife Sanctuary




Established in 1978, Bagdara Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Sidhi District of Madhya Pradesh. It is spread over an area of about 478 sq km and is lined with dry deciduous mixed forest.

Fauna include tiger, panther, chinkara, cheetal, sambar deer, wild boar and black buck and birds of various kinds.

Best season to visit is from November to June. Two suits are available in the sanctuary for accommodation.

The nearest airport is at Khajuraho. Nearest railhead is at Rewa. Nearest bus station is Sidhi Bus Station. Self-petrol vehicles or diesel vehicles, which are not five years old, are the primary mode of transportation within the sanctuary.
